In XMC1000 family, there are 2 detectors namely VDROP to monitor the lower limit of core voltage (Vddc) level and VCLIP to monitor the upper limit of Vddc.
VDROP detector will stop a few MCLK/PCLK when Vddc is below the VDROP level while VCLIP will activate the clamping mechanism when Vddc is aboveVCLIP level.
These mechanism will help to stabilized the core voltage.
It is also possible to generate an interrupt if Vddc is below VDROP or above VCLIP.
The VDROP and VCLIP interrupt can be enabled via SCU_INTERRUPT->SRMSK.

There is another detector called Vddc Brownout detector.
This detector will trigger a brownout reset if the Vddc is below the brownout reset voltage.
To avoid brownout reset, it is recommended NOT to increase the load for more than 4 times or decrease the load by 0.25 times.
This also the same for changing the system frequency.
Therefore, changing of load or frequency to the maximun should be done in several steps.
