Hello,
I want to interface with incremental encoder.
P3.4 port is also used by JTAG.
Is it possible the port is used by Incremental interface and JTAG?
How can I set the P3.4?

I don't know about the XC164, but the XC800 series offers two sets of pins you can use for JTAG.
Or you can use a MUX that defaults to the JTAG connector. This way you can at least preserve the programming capability. Though you won't be able to debug once you've flipped the MUX.
