Ethercat Input Only - Star Topology - XMC43/48

I would like to know if it's possible to configure the XMC4300 Ethercat Slave stack to work as an input only (end of the bus) ?

In the case of a star topology. The purpose to configure it this way would be to free some internal hardware ressources and some GPIO, peripheral, etc.

    Hi col265,
    yes it is possible.
For reference see also hint inside ECAT_CM.H001 of errata sheet and chapter 16.3.1 of reference manual.
In addition you can also review the pdf attached to demonstrate a MAC2MAC connection where also the last device only used one port.

    XMC4800 - EtherCAT MAC2MAC connection.pdf

    Kind Regards
