I run the board without load. PWM will stop due to over current.
Could the over current protection been disabled?

Dear Peter Shi,
The overcurrent protection cannot be disabled.
However, the PWM is supposed to work without load. Try to increase the DS monitoring threshold, filter time and blanking time.

Hi Sir, I used the same software on different HW boards.
Only some boards are OK. Why this MCU(TL9879) has these difference?
Below thresholds should be OK for no load.
DS monitoring threshold: 0.75V
filter time: 2us
blanking time: 2us

Hi Peter,
Which boards were you using?
Over current can also be caused when the active and free-wheeling MOSFET are turned on at the same time.
Try increasing the charge and discharge current of the bridge driver or increasing the cross-current-protection time.
Best,
Fiz

Fiz,
How much charger and discharge current do you recommend?
Could I use the max charge and discharge current?
When I try to increase the cross-current protection time, the Bridge damaged.
Why your company support is very slow?
Regards

Hi PeterShi,
Since you are using the TLE9879 Evalkit with the IPD90N04S4-05 you could use a charge/discharge current of at least 40mA to get fast switching.
You could use the max currents, but this will lead to high electromagnetic emissions and ringing both at the gate and source.
What did you experience when you increased the cross-current protection time?
Best,
Fiz
