    IFX007 freewheeling

    Just read the datasheet of the new IFX007.

    If one uses the IN-pin only, no freewheeling of the motor ist possible: it is shortened.

    Can one use the INH to apply the PWM?

    Hello,

    If you use IN-pin only, either HS or LS MOSFET will be switched on. If you would like to switch off both MOSFETs, you could set a PWM signal at INH pin.

    So, this is a choice between

    1) using INH results in using the body diode as a freewheeling diode,
    2) using IN results in using the active FET as a conducting element to shorten the BEMF voltage
