Hello, I have a question about IR2110, I´m trying to implement H bridge power circuit for a DC motor and my problem is that the high side MOSFET does not turn on. Im using the same signal fot both inputs, square wave 0 to 5 V ant I tried huge range of frquecies. I tried voltage of MOSFETS (VE in scheme) up to 32 V an also many bootstrap capacitances. I don´t what I´m doing wrong, does anypone cal help me? Thank you.

Hello,

I followed that tips and now my H bridge is working well, just want to say thank you very much and ask one more question: when using the IR2110 with high frequencies of 500 kHz until 1 MHz, does the time the bootstrap capacitor needs to charge may reduce the range of duty cycle in which the motor works properly? I think the response time of devices reduces this range, but can the charge of the capacitor reduce it more? Is there any other device recomended to work at these frequencies?

Thank you again, I attach the schematic of my circuit in case anyone finds it useful.2823.attach

Hello,

IR2110 is a bootstrap gate driver, before design you should understand the thoery of bootstrap circuit first. Following app notes may help:

Some suggestions:
1. To charge/discharge the bootstrap capacitor(C2 in your schematic) the high and low sides cannot turn on simutanously but by turn.
2. The load cannot be connected between high and low side MOSFETs
3. A H-bridge circuit needs a pair of IR2110.
4. We have an online circuit for your reference:
