This guide is an overshoot.

For me, I just downloaded the Dave, learn the examples and start to code.

Hi,

Sure, DAVE is fantastic tool.
But still there has been some people asking about the possibility to work without DAVE in other platforms than Windows.

Oh, I see.

Then I have a question.

Since Dave is based on Eclipse and GCC, why not releasing a Linux/Unix version.

It could save many engineers' time and struggle.
I shall say most embedded engineers don't want to set the environment themselves.
