Maybe it is just disabled? You may try following:
Select in Eclipse menu: "Window" -> "Customize Perspective..."
From this dialog, select "Tool Bar Visibility" and click on "toolbar", then click the checkbox left of "command":
Hope it helps...

Hi
The BMI tool is only available if the current active project is for XMC1000 family.
If you need a standalone tool for modifying the BMI, have a look to XMC Flasher
Regards,
Jesus

Thank you WoS!
There is the BMI-Button if I use my XMC1200 bootkid.
Thank you Jesus!
If I use my XMC1200 bootkid the XMC flasher works well.
But if I use my XMC4500-kid the BMI button is disabled!
Thank
Regards,
Bernd

Hi
I have recently updated DAVE to v4.3.2 and since then the BMI tool throws an error "Unable to find SEGGER J-Link path". This works fine on v4.2.8 though.

Hi,
I'm trying to connect to XMC4200Q48 using the XMC-Jlink,
I cant get it to work, and the next Error shoos:
Could not connect to target. Please check if target is powered and if ribbon cable is plugged properly.
I also tried the XMCFlasher, I cant get it to erase the target.
the target connected to the Jlink with the 10 pin header:
Thanks.

Hi,
Maybe you should add your SEGGER J-Link path. Sometimes It cannot find by its own.
You can check from Window->Preferences->Run/Debug->Segger J-Link

Hi,
XMCFlasher can be installed using Infineon Toolbox, https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/tools/landing/infineontoolbox.html
Additionally you can change the BMI using the J-Link Commander. Use the getbmi/setbmi commands (with care), https://wiki.segger.com/Infineon_XMC1000

Hi Jesus,
I read this( https://wiki.segger.com/Infineon_XMC1000) and didn't saw anything about set/get BMI.
I tried to do this with JLink Commander already.
When I opened the program and connected to the XMC1400 MCU, I printed the command list and there were no get/set BMI command in there..
As a matter of fact I could only connect to the board when it is in SWD0 mode. I couldn't connect when it is in ASC BSL mode.
I think I am doing something wrong but don't know where to look for the right answer.
