Hello,

We are using the TLS850F0TAV33 regulator in an ECU design for automotive. An option to disable the watchdog of the TLS850F0TAV33, for the microcontroller starting or in a
special mode, is the Watchdog deactivation by WI, settting a voltage between 1.15V 1.4V at input WI (Watchdog Input).
We have designed a solution with a voltage divider, a 3-state buffer and a flip-flop but would like to know if there is any related application note.

Thanks

Hi,
You know, the watchdog should not be dis abled in normal operation mode when running the application. The WD ensures the safe operation, but as you mentioned the WD can be deactivated with a voltage level 1.15V..1.4V at Vi> 4.6V and VQnom=3.3V at the WI pin.
Regrettably, there is no AppNote for the deactivation and no recommendation for the needed circuitry available. But this and the timing of the WD signal and other behaviour of the WD function is adequately described in the datasheet in the sections "5.9 Standard Watchdog" and "5.10 Typical Performance Characteristics Standard Watchdog".
