    Is the XC800 dead?

It seems like Infineon no longer cares about the XC800 as much as they used to:

    * Official development tools are not available for current operating systems (no Windows 8 or later, no GNU/Linux)
    * Cheap starter kits are no longer available
    * When I asked support for the source of their SDCC fork included in DAVe-Bench, they told me "It is not available anymore."

Does anyone know what Infineon's plans for the XC800 are?
