µC/Probe from Micrium is a power full monitoring tool to read and write to the memory of microcontrollers during run-time in a non-intrusive way.
The free-of-charge µC/Probe XMC is has the same functionality µC Probe working with XMC microcontrollers exclusively. It allows easily designing a graphical dashboard with a wide range of widgets to control or fine-tune your XMC application and it includes an 8 channel digital oscilloscope to visualize real-time date, controlled by a dedicated target code that runs on the XMC target.
µC/Probe XMC is simple to install on Windows PC and can be easily connected via the J-Link on board debugger integrated on most of the XMC kits.

Hi FOCus,
have a look at the quick start tutorial. It works fine for me (4500 Relax Kit, 1100 XMC 2Go).
The Embedded Target Code Library is for non-SWD-Connection usable. An APP (imho) doesn't exist.
Infineon-ucProbe_XMC_Getting_started_v1.2.pdf:

Infineon-ucProbe_XMC_Getting_started_v1.2.pdf:
- Can connect to the embedded system using SWD/JTAG, UART, Ethernet or USB.
- SWD communication does not need any target firmware to set or retrieve the values of variables.
- Other communication interfaces need a C library added to your application to respond to the requests from μC/Probe running on the Windows PC. Library can be obtained at μC/Probe Embedded Target Code (https://www.micrium.com/download/ucprobe-target-code/)

Hi,
In case you are having troubles loading debug symbols into XMC ucProbe, please choose Debug Format as "Toolchain default" or enter -gdwarf-3 in Other debugging flags textbox.
BTW: Did you know that in the contributed DAVE APPs there is available a UCPROBE APP that allows you add monitoring capabilities to your project easily.
Regards,
Jesus

Hi,
I've recently installed Micrium v.4.8.2.0 and I've noticed that once I connect to the target XMC, Micrium reset it... This is really annoying since I'm working with multiple targets and continuous operation of all targets is crucial...
(previous Micrium version did't used to reset targets, but on another hand It was crashing all the time). Someone knows if this can be changed?
Cheers,
J.Pinto

I cannot download the current ucProbe version (should be 4.8). The older versions can no longer be updated online (apparently the server has been deactivated) Does anyone still have the setup for an Infineon version > 4.3.0.90

Greetings,
try to open this in Edge:
https://infineoncommunity.com/uC-Probe-XMC-software-download_ID712
After your registration, you get a Download link and you download a zip-file. A message may appear stating that the software is defective, but still continue.
