Well, the systemview can be integrated into any project but its main scope is to use it with operating system because it provides tracing and inside view how system operates. Necessary files and detailed instructions can be downloaded from Segger. It is available for embOS, FreeRTOS and no OS (tracing interrupts). Integration to application is easy, just follow instructions.

I tried Seggers trace tool but I prefer Percepio's Tracealyzer, the full version is some money but worth every penny. Much more features and much better views of the traces.
They have a free version as well, although less powerful. It works perfectly with J-Link probes.

I tried Percepio as well. It is quite nice. However, it costs RAM, which was problematic in my case.

My understanding is that Percepio's tool does not require any more RAM than Segger's tool as they use the same method for data transfer, the RTT function in the J-Link probes. I have also found that Percepio has much better support for FreeRTOS. Just my two cents, but I really like the Percepio tool, as you might understand from this reply. 🙂

Hi, Henri
maybe you are using streaming mode. There are two modes. One is batch. The other is streaming. I had problem in getting streaming mode to work. At that time there was some problem with RTT module, which was also confirmed by the supplier of RTT. Did you get RTT streaming work? Can you please tell me which version ist? can you share a demo project?

Hi Henri, could you please tell me the version of RTT, StreamRecoder, FreeRTOS and Jlink Firmware version? I am having problem to get the streaming mode to work. The data traffic works since I could use SEGGER_RTT_Viewer to see this happening continuously. I suspect that the versions of different modules are not compatible with each other.
