We use T2CCU6 to drive a fan and a fuel pump with 30Hz PWM. The PWM output is connected to the enable pin of a power MOSFET through an isolating driver.
The isolation is optional, using a driver, too, if you use a MOSFET with 5V enable. I'd always use some kind of driver to provide minimal protection for the µC, though.
