Hello,

My company has started working on developing a bidirectional dc/dc Converter to go from 14 to 400 VDC and we came across your EASYKIT DCDC.

I saw in the notes it says that the power portion of the circuit will function running in reverse but the control circuitry is what might have problems.

Is there any way to modify this evaluation board to allow the use of bidirectional power flow?

Thanks!

All production and design files (Altium Designer) can be found on the CD, which is delivered with the Evaluation Kit. You can remove the control IC UCC28950 by a digital control, which is able to do such PWM pulse patterns and control for bidirectional flow. You also will need a fast current sensing on LV side, otherwise you cannot implement peak current mode control from LV to HV and the transformer will saturate. As this is a new design, the schematics, PCB layout and the control design has to be done by yourself.
