I know you are planning to update your forums, but could you simply go into the configuration and increase the duration of the timeout value. I get timeouts on every message submission and then when I attempt login on another page, I get this error regarding my submission attempt with instructions that do not work:
Your submission could not be processed because you have logged in since the previous page was loaded.
Please push the back button and reload the previous window.

You can reload the page all you want, but the this error will still occur so just tell the people to cut and paste if a timeout occurs.
More importantly, however, please consider the longer timeout.
