Hi All,

Recently Customer changed multiple notebooks OS from WinXP to Win 8.1.
Do we have any solution to support OS Windows 8.1 for XC800 Tools?
Because XC800 Tools that all of them can't support it.

Thanks.

Hi Denies,
I doubt it. I don't know of any XC800 support under windows 8.

I run Dave Bench in a VM Win 8.0 32 Bit. It works, but UART via FTDI works only by use of USpy

Hi,
I run into similar problem. I have Windows 8.1 laptop and installed DAvE Drive. When I tried to open, its not opening, it shows Registry Error. I have Dave 3 installed on my system. Is it possible to use DAVE3 for XC800?

Thanks.

Hello,

I am afraid that XC800 is not supported by DAVE3 and onwards.

Does memtool work under Windows 8?
Instead of using DAvE-Bench, you could use upstream SDCC + IDE of your choice (e.g. Eclipse or Code::Blocks). The SDCC is DAvE-Bench is a fork of SDCC 2.9.0. Using upstream SDCC 3.6.0 you will loose some XC800-specific functionality, but will gain 7 years of improvements in SDCC.
