Hi there,
We use the TLE75008 in our production,We need use open load detection, and have some question about it.
According datasheet,we need to enable IOL,and in off stage,we can read the status from reg.
But it seems we need drive at least one channel ON if we want to do open load detection,is that right?

Hi Devin,
in order to use the open load detection of the TLE75008-ESD you have to enable the diagnostic current IOL for the channels you want to monitor by setting the corresponding OUTn bits to 1 in the DIAG_IOL register.
Please note that that you have to wait for a certain time until the DIAG_OSM.OUTn bits are valid after switching a channel on and off or turning on the diagnostic current source as described in chapter 9.2 "Output Status Monitor" in the datasheet.
The open load detection works in OFF state only, you do not have to turn the channel ON to detect an open load situation.
