We are estimating the costs of an inverter to start a motor that operates for only 5 seconds and then rests for 15 seconds, in the worst case. The process is repeated indefinitely.
The engine consumes 8Arms with a modulation index of 0.9 (maximum we defined during start-up).
The DC bus voltage is 537V (380rms rectified), so we chose a 1200V 25A FS25R12W1T4_B11 IGBT module.
We are having difficulties in dimensioning the heatsink that we should use. Would you have any material to guide us on the calculation for this type of load cycle?
We tried to use IPOSIM, but we were unable to safely define the heatsink parameters. Thank you very much!

Hello User21344
Thanks for writing us ..
IPOSIM will give the powerless and junction temperature.
The selected device is rated for 25A. but your current looks 380A. please provide the complete details of your requirements, we will choose another device.
Please provide the IPOSIM results or system parameters to us we can help you to select the heatsink.
Thanks
