Hi everyone,
I'm working on a 350V / 40A converter application and i intend to use the F4-23MR12W1M1P_B11 Infineon power module.
To protect my converter in a short-circuit case, i'm using a current sensor with 500 ns delay and i added a 6.6 uH inductor to slow the current rise, but i found that the inductor is taking too much place in the converter and there is no place left for other components, so i need to remove it. My question is :
In a short-circuit case, what is the maximal current i'm gonna get ? can the power module handle it ? if yes, for how much time ?
Thank you

Hi,
Can you please provide the circuit details for analyzing it and calculating the exact short circuit current.
Also please provide the switching frequency and voltage levels.
Regards,
