IR2153D Max Frequency?
about the IR2153D.
On the datasheet there's a chart called "IR2153 RT vs Frequency". It shows frequency as high as 1 MHz.
But the table called "Electrical Characteristics" says "Oscillator frequency: Max: 106 kHz".
So what's the max frequency?
Thanks

The Electrical Characteristics table provides the test condition for the Max. Oscillator Frequency as Ct = 1 nF and Rt = 7.43 kΩ giving 106 kHz. For the minimum recommended values of Ct = 330 pF and Rt = 10 kΩ , the maximum oscillator frequency can be 1 MHz.
You can look at the below application notes on the working of IR2153D.

is there a special importance for Ct = 1 nF and Rt = 7.43 kΩ ? Is this a recommended values? Or just arbitrary example?
i don't see Max Frequency in Infineon Gate Drivers parametric search. Does that mean all devices have same Max Frequency of 1 MHz?
thx

They are arbitrary examples used to test at close to 100 kHz switching frequency.
Isolated gate drivers can go to 1 MHz, level-shift gate drivers are limited to around 300 kHz to 500 kHz as level shift losses dominate at higher frequencies leading to higher thermal / power dissipation.
See the below application note which describes the different loss mechanisms inside a gate driver:
