Hello
I have a board with an Aurix TC233LP microcontroller. I can flash/debug the chip normally with the Tricore Eclipse IDE. However, if I try to erase or write the chip with Memtool, the operation fails with a timeout. Read operations are working normally with Memtool. Memtool is working correctrly with another board that has an Aurix TC233L controller, so without the HSM module.
Are there any additional steps required for writing with Memtool if the Aurix variant has the HSM module? The HSM module has not been used/configured by the currently flashed software.

The presence of the HSM does affect configuration, as certain segments can be defined as HSM exclusive, and therefore only erased/programmed if you have the correct permissions. Please could you check if the HSM is enabled, and whether you have HSM exclusive flash sectors enabled.
