    XMC4800 ECAT_SSC 'Enable reset request'

    Hi.

    Does anyone know how this mechanism works?
    Tried enabling this, however there seems to be no change in the generated code.
    Read up on ET9300 and read about register 0x0040 (ESC Reset ECAT) and 0xE14 (seems to be Beckhoff only).
    Read the app help, however this only states what the checkbox does, not really how the mechanism works.

    What I need is how the mechanism works on the slave device and what is required of the master to perform the reset of the node.

    Hi,

    The EtherCAT slave module can trigger a reset request to the SCU after receiving the reset commands from the master.
    If the trap is enabled, an NMI will be triggered. In the NMI handler you can code the response of the slave to such reset command.

    Please contact Beckhoff about the TwinCAT2/3 specific functionality to trigger the reset command to the slaves.
