Hello Support,

In the Aurix 2G User Manual Part1 Revision 1.4, on page 11-39, I find the following two sentences in paragraph 2 and 3 respectively.

"A voltage based short detection scheme is enabled for EVRC via EVRSDCTRL10.SHLVEN / SHHVEN register bit
fields."

"A short detection scheme may be activated for EVR33 via EVRSDCTRL10.SHLVEN / SHHVEN bits."

I think there is an error in the User Manual as same register EVRSDCTRL10 is being used twice for different regulators.
Please confirm and provide me the correct register names for EVR33 and EVRC related to Short detection settings.

The same register enables short detection for both regulators. The detection methods are different: EVRC measures VDD with a feedback ADC, and EVR33 infers it it from the regulator voltage output being opposite from the regulator control output.

Hello Support,
Then what voltage level should be set for EVRSDCTRL10.SHVH and EVRSDCTRL10.SHVL?
Because VDD is 1.25V and VDDP3 is 3.3V. That's why I am unable to understand what level to select.

EVR33 short detection doesn't use those limits.
Short to higher voltage is deduced when the voltage regulator control output or pass device gate voltage has saturated at the lower limit and at the same time the regulator voltage output has crossed the absolute maximum limit. Short to lower voltage is deduced when the voltage regulator control output or pass device gate voltage has saturated at the upper limit and at the same time the regulator voltage output has stayed at the minimum limit.

Hello Support,

In the TC38x Appendix User Manual Revision 1.4,
on page 11-3, there is a register PMS_EVR33CON.
But your response says that there is no control for EVR33 short/overload condition.
Please let me know the function of that PMS_EVR33CON register and also some snippets of the respective documentation.

EVR33CON is on page 1120 of AURIXTC3XX_um_part1_v1.4.pdf.

Hello Support,
Page 1120 is for PMSLE Block and not for PMS Block.
For PMS Block EVR33CON is not there in Chapter 11 of Part 1 and that is correct as you mentioned in this question trail before.
But the confusion is that within TC38x Appendix, EVR33CON Register is there.
So, if the TC38x Appendix Register Table for PMS incorrect?
Please confirm.

It's not in the TC38x SFR definitions, so I presume this is an error in the TC38x Appendix. Checking.

Hello Support,

Any news about the checking you are doing with this error in the documents?

I stopped checking because you asked someone else and now they are checking.
