I have a XMC1402T038 and according to the Pinouttool V.2.1.10 can connect a full-duplex uart to pins P0.14 and P0.15.
However I can't choose those same pins in the DAVE full-duplex UART app (manual Pin allocator).
SWD is on P1.2/P1.3.
Shouldn't the two tools agree?

Hi,
They do agree. Check in the CPU_XMC1_CTRL APP, you most probably have selected for the debug interface the SWD0. Which reserves the pins P0.14 and P0.15 for SWDIO and SWDCLK respectively.
Therefore you can not use them for UART. If you change the debug interface to SWD1, then you will be able to use the P0.14 and P0.15 for the UART fullduplex.

Jesus
