The new Econo Dual 3 is able to operate at much higher current. Did you improve something on the terminals?

Hi MonacoFranz,
Yes, to be able to operate at higher current levels with IGBT 7 several modifications were performed to the standard EconoDUAL 3 housing.
For this improved package the DC terminal temperature under operation conditions is up to 20°C lower compared to the former generation of the module at the same current.
For more details please refer to the PCIM 2019 publication "New, best-in-class 900-A 1200-V EconoDUAL™ 3 with IGBT 7: highest power density and performance".
