Hi guys one question,
what about the Econo Dual 3 with IGBT7 lifetime compared to the IGBT4 device?

Hi TechGirl,

The power cycling seconds curve and the thermal cycling curve (more details you can find here) are identical for IGBT 4 and IGBT 7 (at he same Tj level).
In the application (if the same chip area for IGBT 4 and IGBT 7 is used) the new chip has much lower losses compared to the previous chip generation and therefore the lifetime of IGBT 7 based device will be longer.
In regards to the operation temperature in the application please refer to the PCIM 2019 publication "New, best-in-class 900-A 1200-V EconoDUAL™ 3 with IGBT 7: highest power density and performance".
