I have heard about hard and soft switching igbts.
What is the difference? What are the pros and cons of either switching method, if there are any?
Thanks,
Fränce

Hi Fränce,
you can have a look at this short presentation: https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/Infineon-ProductBrochure_CoolMOS_Benefits_in_Hard_Soft_Switching-Produ....
It is based on MOSFET, but the same concepts are valid for IGBTs as well.
Regards,
Giuseppe
