Can the PrimePACK module used in traction applications and is it possible to use the XHP 2 in non-traction application?

Of course YES !

We cluster our IGBT modules into products for industrial use (coming with Cu base plates) or traction use (coming with AlSiC base plate).
But this is not a binding classification, everything depends on the application and its specific requirements regarding lifetime and correspondingly needed cycling capability.
So, define your life time requirements and cross check with the PC and TC capability of the selected device.
More insights will be given by our application note "AN2019-05 PC and TC diagrams" which provides all required information on the use of Infineon’s power and thermal cycling diagrams. Furthermore is will explain how to apply the rainflow-counting algorithm for proper cycle counting.
