Hi Community,
AURIX TC2xx Program flash has specified 20 years of data retention time while the data flash only has specified 10 years. How is this to be understood?
Thanks!
Lucas

Hi Lucas,
Normally the program flash is only written few times or maybe only during production while data flash is written continuously in some applications.
Both are different from the technology point of view so the retention time is also different.
The 10 years are only valid if data is written and never updated again. Once the data is written again to data flash the 10 years start again.
Please take care of the specified cycle numbers where this is valid.
Best regards
Mr. AURIX™
