Motor Control ICs Forum Discussions
Good morning all, on the REFAIRCONC302AIM564TOBO1, some outputs are use for the LED status and one to shorcut the current limitation CTP trough a dry contact relay, I used the same pin number from F064 to the F048 and flash my custom PCA.
I can run the motor but never the LED and relay output change the state, my question where is this part of the firmware to order the relay and LEDs ?.
P0.10 -> Relay for startup current limitation
P0.08->Green LED
P0.13->Red LED
In advance thanks a lot for your support
Show LessHi
I'm using IMC101.
Motor Max RPM (MCEWizard) is 3,500 rpm.
In run time, the TargetSpeed is 16,383.
It turn out that the measured speed is 3,550 rpm.
Be confident 100% that my speed measurement is correct.
I have no idea to fix it.
pls help

Hi all,
So I have the EVAL-M3-IM564 motor driver module with the EVAL-M3-302F controller module.
I set up everything like it's mentioned in the datasheets. Except for a few parameters for the PFC part, I didn't know what to enter. Specificly Kp and Ki for the voltage and current amplifier. I used the standard values but I kept running into DC overvoltage fault. So I thought it had to do with the PFC settings, after changing them a few times, I kept having the same fault.
So I changed them up some more and wanted to start the PFC, and then the RS3 of the power board module blew up.
I did start PFC before the motor was running, I don't know if that was the cause?
Could anyone help me figure out how to calculate the correct values... Any help is appriciated!
Mike

Good morning all,
I got an issue when I try to flash with iMotion Solution designer and IMotion link , two IMC302 on three prototypes, one is working.
- My 5V00 is perfect with decoupling capacitors for each power pins, tested also with a laboratory power supply & iMotion link (3V3 out)
- Tested with strong pull up 3K, added on RX, TX pin
With Salaea analyser I can recordered this :
@57600 Bauds
Imotion Link -> 0x00, 0x93 Answer : 0xA2, 0x00, 0x67 0xA2 + PDIV
Imotion Link -> 0x00, 0xAA Answer : 0xF0 PDIV + OK
@1000000 Bauds
Imotion Link -> 0xA0, 0X20, 0x00, 0x00, 0x82 Answer : 0x90
Imotion Link -> 0xA0, 0x00, 0x00, 0x01..............0x73 Answer : 0x90, 0x00
Imotion Link -> 0xA0, 0X20, 0x00, 0x00, 0x82 Answer : 0x20
Imotion Link -> 0x47, 0x2C, 0x0F, 0x7C..............0x73 Answer : 0x69, 0x82
And now IMotion Solution Designer says : Error while programming.
I would like also some support to programm the IMC302A with Segger trough SWD, I can connect, I can erase the uC, but what is the way to program the output files : IMC302A-F048_A_V5.02.00.ldf & out.ldf ?, the segger tools whant to have a .bin or a .hex file.
It is a very important project for me and my compagny, could you give me more information what could arrive ?
In advance thanks a lot for your support and help.
Best regards
Show LessHi,
I am using the EVAL-6ED2742 with the EVAL-M1-101TF to run a brushless dc motor with iMOTION Solution Designer. The motor controller is configured to operate in speed control mode with 3 hall sensors. Without load the motor runs fine and needs about 5A to run at maximum RPM. With high load the motor does not start to spin. An external current meter shows that the current jumps to ~300mA until I click the stop button. For the startup with load the motor needs a much higher current. I tried to change the speed ramp rate limit and K and I gain of the speed controller without success. According to my understanding the controller should increase the current because the setpoint RPM is not reached. Which settings limit the current output at startup?
Thanks in advance
Sil
Show LessWe're currently facing challenges implementing the hall sensors with IMC102t.
Despite successful motor operation with another 6-step hall-based controller, the IMC102t is throwing a "Hall invalid fault."
I've attached the hall position image and configuration file for your reference.
In the Motor hall position reference image, A, B, and C correspond to U, V, and W hall sensor positions respectively.
We've experimented with various hall angle offsets (0°, 30°, 60°, 120°, -120°, -60°, and -30°), even though we're confident the correct offset is 0°.
I've also included waveforms for the hall signals UVW with respect to phase U. We've tested this against the other two phases as well, and the waveforms seem to match up correctly with the hall positions.
We're open to any suggestions or insights to resolve this issue promptly.
We referred Infineon-MCESW-RM-UserManual-v01_34-EN doc for hall with line measurements.
Thanks in Advance.
Show LessWhen using the IFX007T, or the older half-bridge ICs, can the current sense, IS, pin be left floating and disconnected? If it were a normal output pin I'd assume it could, but the datasheet explains it is a current sourcing pin,so if left disconnected it would in theory be a very great resistance away from ground. That would mean, depending on the amount of current it was trying to output, it might be able to push itself in to some sort of "saturation" where it would end up outputting the highest voltage it could (V_supply I guess?) in an attempt to drive some given current through a nearly infinite resistance. Is this ok for the chip? In circuits where one is not making use of the IS output pin, can it be left floating and connected to nothing, or must one short it to ground, or must one find space (not always so esy on a dense board) to fit a resistor from IS to Gnd, even when one is not measuring the IS pin at all.
Thanks
Show LessHi,
I'm Trying to implement Hall in IMC102T with Hall as a drive input, motor tries to run but its not running.
If anyone could suggest a solution for this it would be helpful thanks in advance
I had attached MCE wizard configuration file for your reference
