I would like to change the header byte sent from Memtool, when connecting to the XMC1302 in ASC_BSL mode. I want to be able to change the BMI from the default (ASC_BSL) to User Mode w/ debug using only P0.14 in half-duplex mode, as described in the Tooling Family guide, page 9.

I couldnt' find any place to modify this HeaderByte within Memtool. I also could not find the default Monitor Image, which I'm assuming would hold this HeaderByte value.

I am only able to connect to the device with Memtool using full-duplex mode.

Any help would be appreciated.

Joshua

Hi Joshua,

I don't think you can change the Header byte in the Memtool, i think you can configured it for half-duplex communication.
K-Line protocol in the Setup should be refers to half duplex communication.
I did not try before as I do not use half duplex, so perhaps you can give it a try first.

The K-Line protocol did not work. I'm open to any other suggestions.
