I want to share the first pictures of our XMC4800 running the EtherCAT Slave Stack connected into a network. The current focus is now to complete the Software integration into DAVE4. We plan to offer a plug in based ESS solution to provide a full EtherCAT development support for XMC4800.
Infineon is the first semiconductor company to offer the EtherCAT node integrated on an ARM® Cortex®-M-based microcontroller with on-chip Flash and analog/mixed signal capability. All XMC4800 microcontrollers will be AEC Q100 qualified for ambient temperatures of up to 125°C, making them also suited for use in commercial, construction and agricultural vehicles.
